Agenda
Morning Panel Discussions* (9AM to Noon)
EV Fleet Day will begin with a morning session of panel speakers and local businesses discussing the fleet electrification journey, regulatory and policy updates, and available funding opportunities to reduce the cost of transitioning fleets to electric.

Expo Booth Display* (Noon to 3PM)
Beginning at noon, guests can explore an expo floor of fleet electrification experts, charging providers, software companies, vehicle manufacturers, SDG&E fleet electrification staff, public agencies, grant funding organizations, and more.

Medium and Heavy-Duty EV Display* (Noon to 3PM)
Also beginning at noon, a wide range of medium and heavy-duty electric vehicles will be on display, ranging from trucks and vans to forklifts and other equipment. Guests can explore the vehicles and speak with Class 2-8 on-road and off-road fleet electric vehicle experts.

Utility-Sponsored, Community Driven
SDG&E will coordinate and sponsor this event through the Power Your Drive for Fleets program. The utility will have robust information on fleet electrification options in the SDG&E service territory, as well as staff on hand to answer questions and refer attendees to other expo and vehicle display participants and other utility-driven programs in California.
SDG&E will also host panel sessions on the main stage to review fleet electrification barriers, funding opportunities, and to allow time for question-and-answer sessions with the audience and expert panelists.
Additionally, SDG&E will work with community partners, fleet electrification
businesses, public agencies, funding organizations, and more to ensure all aspects of the fleet electrification journey are represented in one central place for San Diego.
Ride & Drives
Due to the unique nature of our venue, ride and drive opportunities will not be available at this event, however we are working with a number of public agencies and partners to offer a ride and drive experience the day after this event on April 7. More information on this opportunity will be available as details become clearer from our agencies and partners. If you are interested in potentially showcasing your equipment at a ride and drive event, please indicate this on your participation request.
Vehicle Display & Expo Goals
Our 2022 event had more than 20+ medium and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment on display, and we plan to increase this number with a larger outdoor footprint in 2023. We also had around 30+ booths and expect a similar number in 2023 given our limited indoor space for this element.
Resources & Giveaways
Please consider bringing unique or fleet-related giveaway items for our attendees. We encourage your team to plan for at least 300 giveaways. These could range from collateral and printed resources to small items like pens, notepads, or any other item that might entice guests to speak with your team and learn more about your service or product. We also encourage mascots, unique displays, digital experiences or gifts, and welcome ideas that consider innovation and sustainability. SDG&E will provide guests with branded personal protective items like sunglasses, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and more, as well as offer QR codes on our collateral and resources for digital access.
Electric Vehicle Expo
SDG&E is asking all fleet EV experts to present their offers at an EV Fleet Day Expo. All fleet EV companies are welcome, including software providers, vehicle manufacturers, dealers, charging providers, funding agencies, and any other public or private entity in the fleet EV space. There is no charge to participate as an expo display vendor, but please note space is limited so we strongly encourage you to let us know as soon as possible if you plan to participate.

Power Your Drive for Fleets Overview
Power Your Drive for Fleets helps fleet owners and operators reduce operating costs, eliminate emissions, and simplify vehicle maintenance by transitioning to electric vehicles.
The program connects fleets with resources, fleet-friendly charging rates, and financial incentives to easily and cost-effectively design and install the charging infrastructure needed to power medium- and heavy-duty electric fleets.
How It Works
SDG&E helps install make-ready charging infrastructure for medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles, working with fleets from the initial infrastructure planning stage through to design, construction, and ongoing site maintenance.
Power Your Drive for Fleets is applicable to Class 2-8, on-road and off-road vehicles including:
- Medium- and heavy-duty trucks and vans
- Transit, commuter, and school buses
- Transport refrigeration units
- Airport ground support equipment
- Port equipment
- Forklifts and other equipment
While all SDG&E customers operating medium- and heavy-duty vehicles are eligible for assistance through the program, certain sectors are particularly well suited for electrification including: Regional Fleets, Shuttle Bus Fleets, and Service Fleets.
Additional resources and financial incentives are also available for fleets operating in disadvantaged communities and small business fleets.
The goal of the program is to serve a minimum of 3,000 medium- and heavy-duty on-road and off-road class 2-8 vehicles at 300 customer sites throughout SDG&E’s service area.
